Amish R. Doshi
Amish R. Doshi is Of Counsel to the firm of Magnozzi & Kye, LLP and has been practicing law since 1999. His primary areas of practice include bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, general and commercial litigation, general corporate/business law and real estate transactional matters.
He has extensive experience representing equipment lessors, financial institutions, asset-based lenders and other creditors in all aspects of bankruptcy practice, including work-outs, restructurings, reorganizations and liquidations. Among other courts, Mr. Doshi frequently appears before bankruptcy judges in the Southern District of New York and the District of Delaware, two of the country’s busiest bankruptcy courts.
He also represents creditors in a wide array of commercial disputes regarding loan and lease enforcement litigations in both state and federal courts in New York and throughout the United States. In addition, he is an outside general counsel to many “small businesses.”
His other legal experience includes: (a) general corporate matters, such as corporate and other entity formations and documentation, (b) representing buyers and sellers of businesses, including medical practices, franchise businesses, restaurants and bars, (c) real estate transaction matters including residential, commercial and leasing matters, and (d) contract preparations and reviews.
He has a B.A. in Accounting and Mathematics from Queens College, City University of New York and a J.D. from New York Law School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of South Asian Bar Association of North America (2009-Present), is a former officer of the South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY) – VP In-House/Private Sector Attorneys and has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute since 2002.
